OKC Mayor David Holt is doing the most for the Oklahoma music scene.
Back in May, he launched “City Hall Sessions,” a local concert series in which Oklahoma artist perform right in Holt’s office in front of a small audience.
“Oklahoma City has given the world many amazing voices in the world of music, people like Wanda Jackson, Charlie Christian, The Flaming Lips, Kings of Leon, Vince Gill. But we feel like we have many more voices to share.”

The first local band featured was Annie Oakley, who performed a song all about the local 23rd St.
Just last week, local musician and Latinx advocate Lincka was featured on the second episode of City Hall Sessions.
In a facebook post sharing the video, Lincka Elizondo wrote, “check out our CityHallSessions episode at Mayor David Holt’s Office where I sing my heart out through the activism in my lyrics, my message & I speak on what is happening to my people at the border. Representation is important. Latinx lives matter. Undocumented or documented. Shout out to Dan Ashford with his “DONALD ERES UN PENDEJO!” shirt. We are here to stay familia.”
We can’t wait for the next City Hall Session!
