Amplify Hotsheet: Week of March 27th

One Two Ten is releasing their debut album Hurry Up & Wait April 12! They will host a release show at Hollywood corners in Norman on the release date at 6 p.m. along with Tripsitters and Kat Lock!

Lone Wild is having an album release show for their new album, which drops April 5! Fans can pre-save on Spotify now! Pre-saving enters you into a raffle for a free Lone Wild t-shirt and gets you a 10% off coupon for future merch sales online. The release show will be at the Vanguard in Tulsa April 5 at 7 p.m. along with Cavern Company and Brother Rabbit. Its been about 2.5 years since they played a show, so they’re really excited.

Norman Music festival is April 25-27, and there are some amazing local acts that are gonna be there. Check out the website for the lineup.

Mad Honey and Brooding are going on a mini tour, and it’s gonna be dope. They’ll stop in Arkansa April 4, Nebraska April 5, and Kansas April 6. They also play Norman Music festival soon and Paseo Arts festival!

Amplify Hotsheet: Week of March 20th

Indie-folk quintet Dawson Hollow is come to the ACM@UCO Performance Lab for a FREE show March 28 at 7 p.m. These musicians are super talented, and they brought their mountain music to Classen Coffee Company a while back. Dawson Hollow made a full-length debut “Boy of My Youth” in 2018 thanks to a highly successful Kickstarter campaign. You aren’t going to want to miss this.

The fourth annual Oklahoma Songwriters Festival, co-presented by Grand Casino Hotel & Resort and the Oklahoma Film + Music Office, will take place Friday and Saturday, April 12-13

Five-time Grammy-winning bassist Victor Wooten is performing and giving a masterclass at ACM@UCO in Bricktown April 24. Read the full guest post from Upstage Promotions on our homepage.

Christian Pearson’s newest project, The “Church” Band is working Sanctuary Barsilica in Film Row to hold a month-long karaoke contest. Winner gets to perform live with the band on April 13th. Read more here…

Emrldboi released a new EP and his performing at Battle of the Bands on April 5th at 7pm at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa along with several bands, including The Odyssey. Emrldboi won the same Battle of the Bands last year.

Grand Casino just announced their season 3 artists for Play it Loud, and it’s awesome. Check the blog post for more info.

Saints Sessions‘ lineup is dope, and Tuesday night jazz shows at the Blue Door have sounded so, so good.

Skirvin Jazz Club is nearly sold out for April 19! We’re looking to launch more projects like this in other cities… stay tuned…

Clayton Roffey is going to be the featured at Saints Sessions on Thursday, March 7. Oh and the jazz shows at the Blue Door are really kickin’ off. The full line-up is at OkSessions.com/BlueDoor. Skirvin Jazz Club is next week on March 15. Bethany Merritt is going to to be the featured vocalist for that, so it’s gonna’ be awesome. On top of that, Jared Cathey will be at the Blue Door March 12th!

Victor Wooten is performing and giving a Masterclass at ACM@UCO in Downtown OKC April 24th. Wooten is a grammy-winning bassist, an acclaimed speaker, and an excellent teacher. Read the full blog post, and secure your tickets.

Sam Weber is performing April 8 at 7:00 p.m. as a part of the ACM@UCO Metro Music Series at the ACM@UCO Performance Lab. Tickets are $10. He is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, and he recently released his new EP “New Agile Freedom” in 2018.

Jazz guitarist Larry Carlton is performing at Tower Theatre March 29. This will be the first time the Grammy-winning artist performs in OKC. He’s worked with Michael Jackson, Sammy Davis Jr., Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, and so many more. This event is put on by Upstage Promotions, and tickets are available online.

VIBN Records has partnered with Luzid Dreamz to put on an EDM show March 19 at the Warehouse.


Amplify Hotsheet: Week of March 13th

This is a part of the ACM@UCO’s Metro Music Series, which is made possible by Oklahoma Gazette, Exchange Music, KOSU Radio, Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, and the Oklahoma Arts Council.

NoisyKids is doing big things, and a new EP drops on Friday! Stay tuned for updates on that. It’s gonna be killer.

Matt Stansberry and the Romance announced a two-day showcase in May that will feature a huge lineup of local artists. Tickets go on sale this Friday.

     PLEASE SHARE From our friends at Red Dirt Relief Fund Red Dirt Relief Fund pledges 50 000 to aid Oklahoma music people affected by COVID-19 While we cannot know how COVID-19 will spread or how long this crisis will last we do know that this virus has universally devastated our working music community In the past week a majority of gigs and festivals for the coming weeks and months have cancelled or postponed While some Oklahomans are fortunate to have paid leave remote-work options and other safety nets working musicians without gigs are left without income to pay their bills As an organization that provides a safety net of emergency assistance to Oklahoma music people we cannot imagine a more critical time to come to their aid In this spirit Red Dirt Relief Fund will provide up to 50 000 to working music people in the form of one-time emergency grants of 250 on a first-come first-served basis We believe this small act of solidarity can help everyone better weather this storm At the same time we know it won t be enough Can you help us help more musicians OkSessions is not affiliated in any way to Red Dirt Relief Fund All donations and donation requests should be made directly to reddirtrelief
