Blue Door partners with Saints Sessions to bring new Tuesday night Jazz Series, February 2019
Earlier this month, bassist Aidan Carroll brought an all-star jazz lineup to the Blue Door, and he may have paved the way for a new local jazz experience in Oklahoma City.
OKC-based singer-songwriter Andy Adams has been fronting the effort to bring jazz to the Blue Door alongside Greg Johnson – the Blue Door’s owner and long-time champion of authentic, exceptional songwriters. Andy has performed at the venue many times, and is a long-time behind-the-scenes organizer of the music that happens there. The Blue Door has expressed an interest in incorporating high-quality jazz shows into their monthly calendar.
The Blue Door is famous for not only hosting amazing singer-songwriters, but creating them. With a “we only sell music” ethos, this intimate, BYOB venue could become very important for OKC’s jazz scene.
