Scissortail Park will open Sept 27, and they’re celebrating with a free concert with the incredible Oklahoma natives, Kings of Leon. That initial news was very exciting, but we were even more blown away when we found out who was joining them.
It was recently announced that the Oklahoma-based Broncho and Republican Hair (fronted by Oklahoma native Luke Dick) will be opening for KOL.
“The opening of Scissortail Park is a historic moment in Oklahoma City. Working collaboratively with Kings of Leon, we sought to bring in outstanding artists that also happen to have Oklahoma ties,” Graham Colton told News 4.

Gates to the park will open at 5 p.m. followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony with more events going on all weekend. More concerts at the venue will be announced soon, so stay tuned! You can find more information at scissortailpark.org.
