Saints Sessions Announces its Featured Artists for October 2019

October is looking to be an exciting month at Saints Sessions! We can’t wait to have some of Oklahoma’s top jazz talent up on stage every Thursday from 8-10pm. The Gentlefolks Album Release Show – October 3rd

The Gentlefolks are a hot club jazz band out of Norman, Oklahoma. This group is dedicated to the great music of gypsy jazz and Django Reinhardt himself. The Gentlefolks bring American steadfastness to gypsy passion for a musical experience that will transport you back to the 1930s. Come out to Saints October 3rd as we celebrate the release of their first album!

Guitarist Jared Lowery – October 10th

Saints Sessions will be featuring the Jared Lowery Quartet on October 10th! Jared is a fusion guitarist from Stroud, Oklahoma, who frequently performs in Oklahoma City and nearby areas. He is known for his work with the fusion band TACIT, FunkNBeers, and the ‘Church’ Band. The Jared Lowery Quartet consists of Jared Lowery on guitar, Joe Richard on bass, Noah Taylor on drums, and Dylan Shadoan on keys and synths. Spend your Thursday evening listening to this high-energy group at Saints!

Vocalist Sarah Maud – October 17th

Tulsa-based vocalist Sarah Maud has made a big impact on the Oklahoma music scene. Drawing inspiration from the great jazz vocalists of the past, such as Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday, Sarah connects with the audience in a profound way. She has previously been featured at Saints Sessions, Skirvin Jazz Club, and Tulsa’s Duet Jazz Club, among many other places. We are excited to welcome Sarah Maud as she returns as a headliner at Saints Sessions! 

Opakue – October 24th

Opakue is a jazz-fusion group out of Edmond Oklahoma, consisting of pianist Andrew Easley, guitarist Geordi Dosher, and drummer Ethan Neel, as well as other Oklahoma City musicians. This group performs funk versions of well-known jazz standards, as well as some original tunes that will have you up and dancing! Come out to hear Opakue as we feature them on October 24th!

BRD Trio Halloween Party – October 31st

Saints Sessions has something very special in store on October 31st. This Halloween we will be featuring one of OKC’s finest groups, BRD Trio, with Brian Belanus on guitar, Rei Wang on bass, and David Bowen on drums.
