Saints Sessions Announces its Featured Artists for March 2019

March will be a big month at Saints Sessions. Of course, the big news is our new and growing Tuesday-night jazz show at The Blue Door. We’re stoked to see great musicians performing in Oklahoma’s best listening room every Tuesday Night. We encourage y’all to join our email list to get the most current updates. Here are Saints Sessions’ Featured Artists for March 2019!

Guitarist Clayton Roffey – March 7th

Clayton Roffey is one of the hottest jazz and blue guitarists in OKC. He’s known for backing up local and touring acts including the Jeremy Thomas Quartet, Chanda Graham, and the House Band at Ice Event Center’s Monday Night Jam. In December, Clayton played two shows with Grammy-winning drummer Ronald Bruner Jr., and Clayton made an appearance at Skirvin Jazz Club in January. Clayton has earned recognition as one of the top jazz and blues guitarists locally, and it’s an honor to have him as our First Thursday Featured Artist for March 2019.

Vocalist Sarah Maud – March 14th

Sarah Maud is a Tulsa-based jazz vocalist who is beginning to make more appearances in other markets. In the past two months, Sarah has headlined numerous venues in Tulsa, including Duet Jazz Club, and she was the Featured Vocalist at Skirvin Jazz Club in February. Sarah has a deep jazz vocabulary, a strong presence as a bandleader, and one of the most voices in the region. We highly recommend getting hip to this Tulsa-based artist!

Pianist Zach Sutton – March 21st

March 21st will be pianist Zach Sutton’s debut appearance at Saints. He’s given many performances at the UCO Jazz Lab and other venues, and we’re excited to bring his Gospel/Country/Pop-influenced jazz group to the Plaza District. You can check out his music here.

The Adam Ray Funktet – March 28th

Adam Ray is one of the most active live music videographers in OKC. He’s also a killin’ tenor sax player. On March 28th, Adam will bring his ‘Funktet’ to Saints. Come celebrate this multi-talented, high-energy staple of OKC’s music scene.

March is looking good, and we couldn’t be more excited about The Blue Door, so be sure to check that out as well. Remember to be kind and awesome to everyone you see in the music scene, and invite new people!

You can get your tickets in the calendar below. Explore the next few months’ headliners at OkSessions.com/SaintsSessions, and be sure to hop on the email list if you haven’t already! See you at Saints 🙂
