Artist Profiles are how we tell the story of local musicians. When we publish new profiles, we optimize them for search engines, share them on our social media accounts, and link them within our blog so people can discover the artists featured.
Artists, venues, and producers often ask us for coverage. Here’s what to do to increase your chances of getting featured.
- Join Amplify.
- Email amplify@OkSessions.com on a weekly basis and let us know what you’re working on. We will feature you on our Hotsheet. Do this repeatedly so we get to know your project. The more content you submit to Amplify, the better we get to know, which makes us more likely to write about you.
- Another way to get featured for someone who knows you to write an artist profile about you and submit it to amplify@oksessions.com as a guest post. We will review and publish guest posts that are genuine, meaningful, well-written, and generally a good fit for our site. We encourage you to submit artist profiles of other musicians in the scene that you think people need to know about. We always credit the author.
- Be in the scene! We tend to write about bands and artists that are active in the local music community. Help us get to know you by going to shows, featuring other artists on your social media, tagging us, adding us as co-host on your Facebook events, and commenting on social media.
